Evaluation in Community Schools is an annual shared process to support reflection, foster learning, and build collective trust. Our Evaluation and Continuous Improvement services are grounded in the belief that data should be used as a tool for storytelling, equity, and actionable growth. This service is especially critical during the Deepening and Coherence phase (Years 4–6), when systems begin to scale and refine their implementation.

Walk away with: an updated asset and needs assessment, a map of stakeholders and resources for exploration, a road map of continuous community schools advancement with in the district strategic plan, youth/ student advisory, financial sustainability plan, identification of further internal district or school department collaboration opportunities for co-ownership of the model, community schools staff capacity development coaching, and much more.

Community Schools thrive through deep, authentic, and mutually beneficial partnerships. Our Partnership Development and University-Assisted Models (UACS) services are designed to build the systems, relationships, and infrastructure needed to scale sustainable and integrated partnerships. This work is critical at any stage, but particularly in the Launch and Strategic Exploration (Years 1-3) or Deepening and Coherence (Years 4–6) phases depending on the strategy and funding structure. This work is also ongoing and is likely to evolve over the lifecycle of a community schools initiative.

Walk away with: (depending on the stage in community schools implementation) a clear UACS ask and pitch, a financial request and agreement (including in-kind support structures), identified list of aligned college and university department or schools, establish college or university relationships, a one year pilot partnership of university partnership, a UACS strategy, or a full implemented UACS model (including steps or materials listed prior).

Culture is the foundation of thriving schools. Our Wellbeing Framework services are designed to build human-centered environments where healing, care, and trust guide every aspect of the Community Schools strategy. This service is crucial across all phases, but especially during the Sustainability and System-Wide Transformation phase (Years 7–10), when the culture must be reinforced, scaled, and embedded.

Walk away with: The Work Well Studio’s Culture of Care framework, toolkit of culture resources for students, staff, leadership, and families, 8 factors of wellbeing model and tools, exploration and practice activities for coordinators, partners, school leadership, and the advisory to understand the unique culture and wellbeing strengths and opportunities, and much more to be responsive to the place based reality of culture and wellbeing.

We offer two sets of support to state coalitions and networks:

1. Policy and Advocacy: We help coalitions bring practitioners, communities, and state partners together around shared priorities for community schools. Our support includes policy research and development, coordinated advocacy strategies, and translating local experiences and evidence into recommendations for state funding, legislation, and implementation. We help networks connect what schools and communities are learning with the decisions that shape statewide investment and support.

2. Technical Assistance and Capacity Building: We help networks strengthen community schools implementation through shared learning, practical tools, training, and coaching. Support includes asset and needs assessments, family and community engagement, collaborative leadership, partnership development, data and evaluation practices, and continuous improvement. We work with network leaders, coordinators, and district teams to build shared understanding, adapt approaches to local contexts, and turn findings into actionable plans.
